The Canadian Federal Court has fined Pfizer $1.9 million, arguing that it did not have a “clear legal duty” to warn consumers about the risks of counterfeit Viagra.

The case has generated billions of dollars in legal effort in the United States. The case is being heard by the Supreme Court of Canada.
